Forest School gives all the children of Kingsbridge Primary School the opportunity to develop their confidence, self-esteem and independence through child-led, hands on learning in our Forest School Area on site. Here, they can enhance their relationship with others in the school community and their relationship with nature. In a world where children face many technological demands and environmental challenges, we strive to develop their love and knowledge of nature and sustainability and respect for the outdoors as a whole.

During these sessions we want children to know how to keep themselves safe and risk assess their play, develop a growing passion for nature, as well as develop socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically and intellectually. We want them to understand that they may have to problem solve, be creative, show resilience and work hard to achieve what they aspire to do. The skills they acquire will be transferable into many aspects of their education and life.
