Thanks to the generous support of the PTFA, we are delighted to be welcoming not just one but two renowned children’s authors to our school.
On Monday, 19th February, Andy Seed - author of the award winning book The Silly Book of Side-Splitting Stuff - will be working with children in Years 3 to 6. He is committed to getting children excited about reading and his visits are full of fun, amazing stories, wordplay, interactive poems, cheeky jokes, insights into how authors work and ideas for writing.
On Thursday, 1st March, in celebration of World Book Day, Simon James will visit children throughout the school to share his experiences as a writer and how he develops his ideas into words and pictures. He has written and illustrated many children’s books including Sally and the Limpet, Dear Greenpeace and Baby Brains. Simon also has a great website, including details of his books as well as tips on drawing and illustrating and some drawings to download and colour
