About the Governing Body

The Kingsbridge Community Primary School Governing Body is made up of teachers, parents, local authority and community members and we work together with the Head Teacher and staff to ensure that standards at our school are continually improving.

There are 15 governors who make up the Governing Body.  Governors are elected for a term of four years and we meet regularly and try to get in to the school as often as we can.

The overarching aim of the governing body is to ensure that every child who attends Kingsbridge Community Primary School achieves their full potential in a happy and safe environment. To achieve this the governing body adheres to the three core roles of governance:

  1. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
  2. Holding executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils and the performance management of staff;
  3. Overseeng the financial performance of the organisation and making sure its money is well spent.

We are very proud of our school and of our amazing children and dedicated staff. The school offers many fantastic opportunities for our children to learn and play and this is supported by a belief in a broad and varied curriculum.

If you would like any more information about the governing body or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at (Chair of Governors) or  (Clerk to Governors).
